„Thank You Maestro Mehta“ - Charity Gala-Event for Maestro Zubin Mehta‘s 80th Birthday for the Benefit of the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation
„It was always my father‘s dream to create an environment in Bombay which would enable talented young Indians to study western classical music and to perform it professionally in their country. My family and I are, therefore, extremely happy that there is today a Foundation in India bearing my father‘s name, which is organised to devote itself to the objectives of his dream. I hope lovers of music in India and elsewhere will lend wholehearted and continuing support to the Foundation, which will add an extra dime nsion to the extra ordinar y plurality, range and richness of India‘s cultural heritage.“

„Music inspires - For our World in Harmony“
... is our credo for the education of young musicians. During the last 20 years Maestro Mehta supported our
engagement in an outstanding way through international masterclasses, by giving scholarships to highly talented students at the International Trumpet Academy Bremen, as Honorary Music Advisor of the World Brass Association etc..

For his 80th birthday we would like to show our gratefulness for Maestro Mehta‘s engagement with the Charity Gala-Event „Thank You - Maestro Mehta“ for the benefit of the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation.

Music is not only the language, every person in the world understands and that gives joy to everybody, but it can help in social diffi cult regions to bring the kids away from the streets and even to make their lives as professional musicians. For this, the Mehli Mehta Foundation is offering education programs for unprivileged children in Bombay and the World Brass Association for talented students all over the world with its partners like the Italian Brass Week in Florence and the Eva Lind Music Academy Tirol.

Committed entrepreneurs and companies are also supporting our work all over the world, since they know „Cultural engagement is sustainable social engagement“.

On the occasion of Maestro Zubin Mehta‘s 80th birthday, Florian Werner, the owner of the famous 5-star Arlberg Hospiz Hotel invited us to celebrate this Charity Gala-Event at his cultural highlight location, the arlberg1800 Contemporary Art & Concert Hall, limited to 220 guests, up in the mountains of Tirol in Austria.

We invited international renowned musicians and musical friends like the enchanting Austrian Soprano Eva Lind, the great Russian-Israeli Trumpeter Sergei Nakariakov, members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, who were working with Maestro Mehta for many years and the ensemble „Ten of the Best“, to celebrate unforgettable concerts with us. The honorary speech for Maestro Mehta will be held by Germany‘s most famous TV-presenter Thomas Gottschalk.

In addition we will present young highly talented prize winners of the World Brass Association, the Italian Brass Week Florence and the Eva Lind Music Academy Tirol, whom you will certainly see again on the stages of this world.
